I’m excited to offer a range of new, full-day nature journaling workshops this year. They’re for people who’d like to learn more about the botany, zoology and ecology of our marvellous Australian nature, while enjoying three beautiful outdoor locations in south east Queensland: Binna Burra in Lamington National Park; Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (the last two both near Brisbane).

Each workshop is 6 hours in duration, including breaks. The workshops are pitched at adults (ages 15 years and up), but interested kids 10 years and over are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Detailed course notes are included.

Standard ticket (per workshop): $130

Early bird ticket (per workshop): $110

Workshops are booked individually, you don’t need to commit to a whole series.

Nature journaling is simply ‘drawing and writing in response to nature’. It’s a wonderful technique for learning, as it encourages close observation and strengthens comprehension and memory. The practice of nature journaling – especially while outdoors – can also benefit one’s mental, emotional and physical health. The practice is further rewarded by the creation of one’s own unique nature journal.

And don’t forget: If you can sign your name, you can draw.
