Trees in Space and Time: A special nature journaling adventure at Binna Burra

This Black Booyong is one of the five important rainforest tree species we’ll meet if you come along to my ‘Trees in Space and Time’ workshop at Binna Burra. Here’s another, the Native Bleeding Heart:

Meet five important tree species of the rainforest, and learn about their ecology, evolution, and journey to Binna Burra. Increase your observation skills through simple drawing and writing exercises, and create a nature journal that records your responses, and provides a unique, personal guide to these five important trees of the rainforest.

You will learn:
● About the ecology, evolution and distribution of five important rainforest tree species of Binna Burra, and thus gain an understanding of rainforest ecology in general.
● How to increase your observation skills, generate ideas and questions, and record your responses using words, drawings, diagrams and maps.
● How science and art can be combined to facilitate learning.

You will create:
● A nature journal focused on five important rainforest trees and including a variety of nature journaling techniques.
