New Brisbane Bird Challenge Game card

posted in: Wildlife illustration | 2

Yesterday I launched a new game card to help kids and adults learn about our common Brisbane birds:

Front of card
Back of card

This game card features original illustrations of 12 common Brisbane bird species. Get kids and adults into birdwatching by playing the five different bird games on the back of the card. Have fun spotting birds in your backyard, school or local park. Personalize your card and see if you can improve your previous time in spotting all the birds. A great educational and fun prompt to get kids (and adults) outdoors and away from screens.

Original illustrations, design and game ideas by Paula Peeters.

Rainbow Lorikeet
Blue-faced Honeyeater

Printed by Lava Print in Sandgate, Brisbane, on recycled card.

Size A5 (14.8 x 21 cm)

Retail price $3, with discounts for 20 or more. To order, see: Brisbane Bird Challenge Game card

Not all bird species are included! (In the background, from left to right, my chooks Gabby, Hedwig, Abby and Pip).

We have many more beautiful bird species living in and around Brisbane, so I am planning to do a series of these cards. It would also be great to do cards for other parts of Australia, especially large urban centres. I am completely self-funded, so I welcome the partnership / sponsorship / or even just the promotion of this project by other interested groups.

Happy birding!

Sounds like a brilliant idea Paula. I have a couple of birder friends down this way who may be interested in following this up.
